Well it was great going the the SGOC brunch yesterday. Getting to hang out with familiar friends and meeting some new ones while eating some fine french toast, cant get much better than that. After the brunch playing some pool with some good tunes off the jukebox was really fun too, it just kinda naturally extended into an all day event for our little group of Beckyuill and her husband David, Sexybeast and Urblueygrl and I. By the way thanks to Sexybeast/urblueygrl for taking care of me again, and thanks to dave for not getting mad at me for not finishing my Rum and Coke, I just dont think I like the taste of rum. It was really great to meet all the new people I havent seen before even if I didnt get your names.
Just for anyone that didnt happen to hear my little story at the brunch because it was too noisy or even if you were not there, I was at my job on friday at the theater and the city of Azusa had rented out the center so they could hold the miss azusa pagent. So hours go by and the whole thing is coming to an end, they call out the girls line and line 'em up everybody smiling and waving to their friends and family. AND THE WINNER IS.... Girl C! The crowning takes place the family is all cheering, the girl is crying and so happy. the girls all walk off stage. An Older looking woman in the front row walks down ans starts having a discussion with the speaker of the night, about 5 minutes later they bring out all the girls again and he announces that he had made a mistake and that it "needed to be corrected." Im pretty sure everyone in the theaters' heart sank I know mine did. This poor girl who has so happy to win this award for her beauty and to take it off and give it to the girl next to her. It almost seemed like her dog died she was so distraught.
