What's this? Something not boring and technical?



I took this today: That's Goofy and Scaredy Cat keeping a close eye on one of the wild turkey hens that roost in the woods around here. There's a flock of about 25 or so with one gigantic boss gobbler and several smaller males.

Okay, back to the boring technical shit:

Tonight I rewired my tube sockets with 18ga solid copper, replacing the cloth covered 22ga from 1967.

All the wires were covered in that ugly mustard yellow, and not coded or anything.










Cathodes are green, grids are black, plates are red.

I was blasting OK Computer at an authoritative volume level, and when it was over I heard this pathetic mewling outside. I opened the door and there was Goofy, trying her best to convince me that the coyotes were coming to get her, so I picked her up and brought her in and we had a thorough scratching session...
