Had a really good weekend with friends who came down for a visit. Went to Down House (where Darwin lived), then to Down Bank, and Sunday visited more sites.

Kimya Dawson on monday night was disappointing. She announced that they hadn't played together for 9 months and hadn't rehersed or soundchecked before the gig and you could tell! First two songs were played out of tune, and it was all a bit shambolic. They got it together for part of the gig. It was worse coz I had dragged a friend along to see her as well, and it wasn't really her kind of musci to start with. nice to spend some time with her though.

Just seen Coraline with a friend. That was also disappointing. Bog standard childrens animation. Was really pissed off at having to pay so much extra for a 3d film - and you know if I go to see something else 3D they won't let you take in the specs from the first time - you'll have to buy another pair!

Bit of a downer now after four days of good stuff nothing to look forward to!
