an update on the morons that inhabit the earth...
they couldn't find my tires...apparently they are discontinued...so they tried to tell me they would replace it with one the same size...
uh, NO... putting two different treads on one axel..especially on a 4WD will cause the drive to tweek ever so slightly and put undue wear on the drive train... I paid 121.88 above the insurance for them to replace ALL FOUR tires,to cover the wear depreciation..
know what they did next?
my husband informed them we want the three tires they removed so we could mount one as a full sized spare..fine...
they then put the 4 tires in the bed of the truck...UNPROTECTED...
now, my bed rug..which is a padded nylon liner has HUGE circles of road grease on the bed and one wheel well...
Duhhhh, maybe clean off the tires...yeah, extreme measures I know and totally unrealistic... or maybe....just maybe they could have laid down some visqueen plastic? maybe garbage bags? maybe the nice white paper they put on the floor boards to protect the mats!?
and....WTF?! the new bumper was not properly cut away in the front...one bump and pow...the bumper is gonna gouge the tires...they cut away the plastic...rather roughly, with little burs of plastic left hanging...that...I can file off...but the bumper?
Now I'm just gonna take it to 4wheel parts and acces. to get it done right...
last week when I wanted to pick it up and it wasn't ready...they washed it for me...this time? noooo....not even the bird poop......
Okay...I'm a bitch who knows far too much about auotmotive and motorcycles...maybe I'm far too demanding that when someone pulls out in front of me, and it's their fault, that the company who is supposed to make it right ...takes a month to give me back a truck that is how it was before the accident...with only a mere 15k miles on it....yep...must be me...
Makes me wonder how well they did the repairs....if the basics are overlooked...whats that mean for the crucial repairs? the tie rod..the new lift kit parts...did they even do that right?
