So I gave in and got an ipad yesterday, to use mostly for flying and fllight planning. I was gonna get the one with 3G, but they were running a special that if I got the regular wifi one with a mobile hotspot I could get the hotspot for $50 and $100 off the price of the ipad, and with my house internet only working half the time, I decided to go with the deal, and cancel my house internet since the monthly is pretty much the same price.
So far, I'm diggin my ipad, Ive put mostly flying apps on it and will put my digital editions of movies that I have so if I take people up flying on a long flight, they can have inflight movies.
My instrument training is going well, I have a progress check later this week and before long will be taking my written and later my practical with the FAA. The learning wont be over tho, next up will be my commercial license and most likely my Flight Instructor. So I can work on the side as a flight instructor or fly sky divers as I build time for my dream job which is looking more feasable, but we'll see, I still have a ways to go.
Also I've been good about working out more, really making it to the gym 2-3 times a week. I've noticed my chest and arms have gotten bigger. The sleeves on my short sleeve shirts are fitting tighter. I still can't seem to beat back the gut, and my weight really hasn't gone down. I'll be back to work regularly week after next, so probably the running every day when I get to work will help. I've also been eating a bit better, meaning actually eating somewhat of a breakfast other than just coffee.

i got an ipad for my mom on may last year, she loves it.... wish i had more money to spend in one for me, but i think i give a better use to my comp.
