Oh, man...glad to hear you're all right. I hear horror stories of people getting killed by hitting moose and elk with their cars. Reminds me of the time my mom hit a deer with her Celica. She pulls into the driveway and lays on the horn. I thought she had groceries or something that she needed help with, so I walk outside. There she is balling her eyes out with the front end all crumpled up. She couldn't open the door because it was so dented, so she thought the body was stuck to the front end! I don't know how she made it home with how damaged the car was in the first place.
Anyhoo...If you get a nice lump sum from your insurance company, you should go all out and get an even nicer subaru.
glad you're okay! yeah, it's funny how they just jump out at ya like that at least colorado doesn't give you a ticket for driving recklessly for hitting them regardless of circumstances anymore...good luck i hope things go smoothly with your insurance.

All 4 legged hoofy animals seem to be on a rampage lately- i had a deer run into the side of my car on the highway a few weeks ago; it hit my car really hard! at least i didn't hit it, but still it was pretty unnerving.
