Money sucks. You have it and then it goes away, leaving a socially mandated stigma on your pennilessness. Work to live, or live to work. No one fucking knows anymore.

Well, other than that bullshit...got most of my Stuff put away, so my place is now inhabitable...so I can go to Iowa City and stay at someone else's habitat. Silly world 'o Nathan. Aight.

Pain is something I cannot seem to write without featuring it in some way. It is beyond universal, it does as you said make "the world go round, and to the side and upside down and through, under, above"

I like that you tied it into my piercings, yes i do find piercings to be "relieving" and very cathardic. Luckily though I can say that I do not search out pain in any other fashion in my life, like the character in my story.

You said: "Your story picks up the ambivalence that love lost both pains us and offers hope for its retention." I don't know if I'm misreading this, but when I wrote the character in my story she was not necessarily supposed to make someone feel bad for her, I wanted people to almost find her a little weak and pathetic, for not wanting to let go of her pain. For nursing it, by carrying with her all the time and writing the letter to her old girlfriend even though, what she should be doing is moving on. So she wanted the retention of pain, at least that is what I was going for.

you picked out a few of my favorite lines from the story as well, I'm really glad you enjoyed it. I will definately post some more writing on here very soon.

thank you for the wonderful comments, it really made my day!

kiss
