i was down there 3 years ago and i did some research on buyin land and becoming a resident.

the way to do it, is go through centry 21 and they wont rip you off. anyone can be a "realesate sales person" so there are so many scamers.

to become a resident you need to deposit 60k in a bank or open a business that employs the locals, or prove that you have 1k in montly income from social security or an anuity.

i was gonna make it a 5 month trip, living off the land in the jungle but i have to get on with my life.
