Shit. Looking through your pics makes me think twice about the dicision I made several months back. I was learning to blow glass from an old friend. Sitting, watching, hours, days, months. He ended up moving back to CA and said I either had to move out to his house/shop and live there and continue learning from our other friend there and pay way more rent than I already was and be completely broke, or I wouldn't be able to work with him. I opted out because I didn't want to spend way more money and live out in the middle of the woods. I had to work and make money then, and I was still a couple months down the road before I would be making any money with him. Looking back, I wish I could have done it different, or had a different opportunity. Oh well, that's rad that you're making it work. I know it's a tough business to make it in and to make a name for yourself. Keep up the good work man.
Damn you! I was going to do a hot shop set-- my sister is a glassblower. But her shop is closed for the summer anyway, so I guess if someone takes you up on your offer before the fall I'll have to let them use the idea...
Hello, I am new to this site. Good luck with your new business the glass pieces that you have posted are beautiful!! I love blown glass so much the spinner piece is my favorite.
my cousin also makes glass. he makes borcylicate stuff actually bongs and now sex toys. he does other stuff for his passion but makes the toys and shit to pay the bills. you will probably have to do somethings you would rather not want to in order to keep doing the things you love.
my 2 cents...
Come on down Tawnya everyone is welcome. It has been a long time since Ive had to make stuff I dont like. To be honest, whoodini, I have so many orders to fill its driving me nuts. I have too much to do and too little time. Thanks for the complements.
