I was guessing NIMH, but Hella is more hella-awesome than I
i think a loft in bejing could be just the thing, you gotta breath soot, but hey there is a great tradition of lung cancer and great art, right?
i am envious of the trip--i am all pysched just to get to memphis, (i've long fantasized about a southern music roadtrip that would include austin, new orleans, memphis, nashville and maybe grooverburgs like athens and chapel hill--but i just keep on workin and dadding instead) i'm going for a black lead conference on green jobs, which should rock! i want to go hear music, but the weekend is tending toward candlelight vigils marking the 40th anniversary of King's assassination
Not to copy everyone else, but I knew immediately it was Mrs. Frisby and the Rats of NIMH. Probably one of the most intellectually stimulating animated kids' movies.
I think city mice are creepy as fuck. I've had 2 apartments that had them (seemingly nice apartments), one of them you could hear them fighting in the walls at night. And they don't look like lab mice, little sweet country mice, they all look like fucking gang-banging rodents wanting to fuck you up.
Once I shot a series of close-ups of mice in mouse traps and all the ways their bodies contorted and bloated when they snapped. At first it was to hang in the hall way as a gallery to show potential tenants, but then I started getting all particular about it as an art form representing me and worried that it might be something I would have to do the rest of my life.
I like the word "millabillion". That's how many pics you should take in Bejing.
Movie: The Secret of NIMH
Book: Mrs. Frisby and the Rats of NIMH.
And I didn't have to look it up. Yup, I'm a nerd.
