Today I decided to create a rubber band ball. Looking back on my life, it's kind of different because I've never bothered to make one, never cared to, it just seemed like a waste of time and energy for something that seemed to be about nothing. But seeing as I have been going to the library often, I have been building up a rubber band collection and it just seemed natural to put them in a ball. It feels like a ball of memory and I don't think I would ever add a rubber band that didn't come from the library, nor take from it unless I was returning it to the library.

Could I encapsulate the act of creating something in appreciation or memory of something in my life as something that interests me in life? We don't have to necessarily like something or relate to it to be affected by it even in a tiny way that makes up who we are. But like many layers of rubber bands, our identities are formed by little things.

I'd have to think too about 5 things that interest(ed) me in life! How about break it down to one thing which is living??!

it wasnt until my first concert back in '94 which happend to be Nirvana that i realized that music was gonna be a big part of my life. i started going to shows from there on out. big concerts, local shows, i just really loved the atmosphere of going to experience live music. then by going to shows i started meeting bands, and then i started booking and promoting my own shows. got to go on tour with some bands that i was friends with, awesome experience! i love the feeling i get when im at one of my shows and i just look around and see how good of a time everybody is having, it makes everything seem worthwhile. and yes, this definitely defines me!

I'd like to talk to you sometime and totally lost your screenname and phone number. Also, am hoping to take a trip up to Boston for some long weekend, to promote my business at a convention or something and visit friends in the area!

i've got an art question for you...
do you take your own pictures of your paintings, or have some one else do it? i've heard that if you're doing it yourself outside on a sunny day is good... ? i'm not looking for really professional or anything, not for a portfolio... just like to put up on the webernet, and i'm considering selling some stuff on ebay...

I am being strong, and taking care of myself pretty damn well if I say so myself.
My schedules for April and May are going to be very busy, but I think I can swing a long weekend.

Five things that interested me (as opposed to 5 people I loved or 5 things that made my life worthwhile or while I'm at it, 5 desert island CDs)? Hmm, when you narrow it to that, let's say...

1. the ability of humans to both impress and depress at the same time (as in, how do we create such beauty while at the same time destroy so much beauty?)
2. being alive in a time where we were able to see the earth from space for the first time, to see how magnificent our world looks. Also to see the universe, the planets in our solar system and so much more thanks to advances in science and photography
3. speaking of science, the remarkable discoveries we've made and the strides we've taken in so many areas. The mind-boggling theories that have been developed in our lifetimes about the nature of the universe and life itself
4. baseball.
5. being alive at a time where I can speak with people all over the world and SEE the enitre world. Which brings me back to #1 again - we are systematically destroying the planet but maybe thanks to the Internet and instant communication we might actually be able to reverse the process before it becomes irrevocable.

Since you asked.
