I don't always do the dedication/ inspiration, but I always date my work. My memory sucks and unless I write down my inspiration, writing the dates helps me recall memories of why I wrote the piece in the first place. Although, sometimes I think I should forget them.

Funny you ask, I was just thinking about butterflies the other day...I was thinking about making them versus finding a really cool sparkely one...it's definitely one of my next hat projects. I'll post a pic as soon as I make it.
