wow, you really got flooded really badly. but that's really good to hear that you were able to prevent your basement from filling up completely with water.

around here route 18 got flooded so they had to cancel classes today and yesterday.

i dont think there was that much flooding up north at the parents house. the house is on top of a small hill it would have to be near the end of the world before the street was flooded like that. but some areas nearby have rivers that usually flood...

As heartened as I am by the renewed interest in the environment, it is sad to me how much is based on fear and how many 'solutions' are based only in a different kind of materialism. Particularly when each of us knows how simple it is, after a walk outside, to fall in love with what we may lose.

So take a look around today, fall in love, and do one more thing to tread lightly.
