squattin is of course a choice of life and a political statement too.
each country has its own laws about it.
basically it became a real phenomenon at the end of 60's with yuvenile riots and university revolutions...
i have been squattin in several countries, mine at first, of course, and i must say that holland its the country where squatters hav still some rights, which is really nice, considerin the fact that im not a burglar or some kinda of respectless motherfucker.haha
there are soo many empty spaces in da world and we kids need a place to live outhere!
lately the scene is changing pretty much, less rights and nasty stuff like this, but im keepin it on!
sometimes is hard, u gotta work hard on it, to make it livable, but as long as u believe in something ull find the energy and the rite kick to do it, like with anythin else in life, rite??!

so many questions hahaha, but i wanna answer them all , one by one..
Squattin is everytime a new experience, i mean i never know exactly how the buildin looks like before squattin, although i can make an estimation from outiside or when im lucky i can get the map of the building at the land office.
But about elettricity, water and heat is always a big surprice!!
there is always a lot to do as we squat a new place.
most of the time the buildin is completly empty!!and that means there is a lot to do, like everything.
of course every building is owned by someone, either a private owner or an association or the council.....best for us is the council or the association, cause most of the times they own lots of places sooo it might be easier for us to have the change to keep the place.
BUT as soon as the owner, whoever he is, have some real plans about the buiding then we leave...and find somethinelse.
The squat im livin in right now has been squatted in june 2005, so its a pretty long time ago.
We had to work a lot to make it liveable, like build a shower, warm water, new walls, fix the kitchen, and a bunch of other things...
But now its a nice place to live in!! WE HAVE EVERYTHIN WE NEED... its a bit cold tho in the rooms but pretty warmed up in the big living room and kitchen...
