You know, I don't have specific scoop memories. Sometimes they were single, occasionally double. Not sure there was a pattern. But mint chocolate chip is also my favorite.
when i was a kid, we were poor. we did not even go to BR. we had to make due with the "ice cream" from the store. and even then, it wasn't ice cream, it was ice milk. nevertheless, chocolate or cookies 'n' cream was my favorite.
it is good to hear from you. hope all is well in Seattle.
Baskin Robbins at Shaw Air Force Base in Sumter, SC for me and my family....single scoops, usually. Butter Pecan and Chocolate Chip for my parents and Rocky Road for me.
These days, it's waffle cones at Bruster's for me and a sugar cone for the wife...a single scoop there is practically impossible to finish. The absolute best is pumpkin cheesecake flavor, but they only carry that in Oct/Nov.
i always got two scoops of chocolate fudge in the special cone where they fit side by side. my mom and sister always went for sherbert, usually orange. my dad went for chocolate fudge as well. it was always a treat and after i got done i always had to clean up because i'd have ice cream around my mouth.
My pops has always had a thing for the butter pecan. My moms is totally a mint chocolate chip kinda lady. The brother loves the chocolate and I on the other hand, am all about the STRAWBERRY!!!
And in my hometown, we have this little ice cream shop called Dietsch's that has been family owned for lots of YEARS.... Ben and Jerry tried to buy them...they turned them down. They make the most amazing ice cream....
My family used to go there every Sunday when my brother and I got good grades.
Then we hit high school!!!!
People underestimate how much ice cream means to some families....
SkottiePhaust said to say "howdy" to you, so here I am.
Always Baskin Robbins, always two scoops, always Pralines & Cream and Peanut Butter & Chocolate. Sometimes I would get Pumpkin Pie when it was in season. How beautiful is Seattle today?! I'm am SO happy about the change in weather!
we were poor so it was usually homemade ice cream. As a kid it sucked because all the other kids got BR or DQ but now as an adult HM is a treat. I liked mint cc and rocky road and had to choose if we were out because it was definitely a 1 scoop thing.
