I don't think it's possible to exist and not do something that pne doesn't morally agree with without being without morals. Society doesn't give us a whole lot of room to live completely by the dictates of our conscience. So it basically comes down to picking and choosing where and when to make your stands.
Anyway, that said, I just wanted you to know I miss the hell out of you.
to follow your dillema through to the end:
if you support something you don't morally agree with, you have compromised your integrity. If you compromise your integrity for a paycheck, you have sold out. If you sell out, you don't get cake on your birthday anymore and little kids cry when they get close to you.
Good news though, you can always change your moral code... Resign yourself to your meaty fate!
ps - My job is testing software that enforces intellectual property rights, and I don't believe that intellectual property is a right.
i JUST watched project jay tonight, but i have to say that i thought it was kinda eh. i'm sure i'll like it better when we get to see more of him making stuff
i understand moral dilemmas with respect to craft. oppenheimer heard thousands of screaming voices when he would try to sleep at night after his work in creating the bomb. for the same reason, i try to not let my hands touch death. imagine if everyone stopped working for anything related to war.
also, without honey, how can you make pants out of bees?
i do not eat at mcdonald's, but i would do a voice over for them in a second and take their cash. does that make me a sell out? probably not, because i'm not a vegan/vegetarian.
now, schilling for bush/cheney. doing a voice over on a commercial about their humanitarian work and how our world is better after 6 years? shoot me now.
Anyway, that said, I just wanted you to know I miss the hell out of you.
