So today I had a really long fucking day at work. The prep cook has to work a double tommorrow so I figure I need to do as much shit as I can to make sure she is not screwed for the start of the weekend. I ended up cutting, popping apart, and breading over 120lbs of onions. It took me over 3 hours.

A little later in the day after the onion epic I was listening to Iron Maiden at very high volume. The front of the house manager decides to stop by the restraunt on his day off to "check on things". He walks back in the kitchen and into the prep area where I am working today. First thing he does is say "gee Max do you think that is loud enough?" With the day I am having I just turned to him and looked at him square in the eye and say

"Cal this is fucking Iron Maiden, there is no such thing as too loud"

I then went back to work. He said nothing more of how loud the music was. I think I was lucky. On any other day of the week Cal probably would have called the GM and had my ass fired, but today he chose to ignore it. Now I am kind of wondering how I can push things at work. Probably getting close to the limit.

Oh well it was a nice magic metal moment!
