very brave, c. i went through the same thing - and felt for months that i had made the biggest mistake of my life. it turned out to be the right thing - and she and i are still dear friends - after a year or so of healing.

good luck and hope to see you sunday.
cineman:
I concur. There are some amazingly truthful and no doubt painful thoughts shared here. If M were to read this, I feel that she might - might; it's hard to tell for sure, of course - understand just how deeply you do care for her and how difficult but apparently necessary this decision was for you, too.

Funny: I received an amazing "catching up" email from MY ex just a little while ago - the one who devastated me like no other - and who I, finally, may be able to actually "just be friends" with after all, as it turns out. You never know.

Time, as Ant says, does heal all. Be well, be patient - and be there at 3PM sharp on Sunday so we can help you take your mind off it. smile
lizarose:
honey i think you did the right thing. you know exactly how you feel about her. it is obvious that you have spent a lot of time sorting out those feelings. it isn't fair to her to continue like you were.

you spoke your truth. i am proud of you.

let go of your fear and let the relationship change. it will be something better than it was.

kiss
