So I’m back at work now and there are a few things that are pissing me off about people at the moment.
firstly, a family has come in everyday for the last 5 days their son is clearly sick... sniffling and wearing a hoodie, despite the lovely weather. They are actually putting myself and my team at risk of catching whatever he has, it might not be COVID but at this point I don’t care. DO NOT COME INTO A BAR SICK!
And yes we may be wearing all our PPE and washing our hands constantly but that doesn’t mean we won’t get sick. So for the sake of everyone around you, DO NOT Do it! Stay at home.
Next on my list of stupid things. Why do people feel the need to lean over the bar and order? I clearly have a designated order area with glass separating us. Why must idiots try and order from the area without glass? And worst yet, lean over the bar to try talk to me?? Absolutely nope!
And no I’m not gonna charge your phone either. I will not touch your personal belongings, sorry dude. But then also don’t get mad at me for saying no. It’s my choice, I keep my station clean and sanitary. I don’t want your germs in my station. Deal with it.
Also the guy drooling on himself last night... if you are that drunk, go the fuck home!
The final annoyance last night... do not Try steal out flowers or our blankets. Cashing you around is the last thing I want on a Friday night. Also that lady looked like she had no care in the world for sanitising her hands. Or keeping the 1m social distancing rules.
bars are open. And it’s great! But please please remember the rules are in place for a reason. They protect you and me from possibly having or spreading COVID, just because you are drunk doesn’t mean you should be a dick.
