I never usually promote things like this, but I feel I should this time to help my sister....
So, 6 years ago my nephew was 15 years old and a real asshole. He videotaped this kid getting beat-up and made some really shitty comments about it on the tape. He ended up giving the tape to the police within an hour of it happening and ended up getting arrested as an accessory to the crime.
He never had been in trouble before this and he has spent the past six years trying to make up for it. He was on an ankle bracelet for a year and half and on probation. The courts decided to take it to the next level and, now, 6 YEARS later... send him to maximum security prison for a year!
I don't agree with what he did AT ALL and I'm glad he got punished the way he did, but NOW to send him to prison for videoing someone else beating up someone is more than extreme.
Especially considering the prison system is as fucked as it is, I believe this is just another waste on taxpayers' money and resources.
