It is a new year in Stuttgart, Germany. A lot happened to me this year, more toward the back end of the year. I was supposed to be getting relocated to Louisiana, but thankfully the stars aligned and someone kept me here another couple of years. I changed units, moved a house, met new friends, had to say good-bye to others. It is a strange thing being military because you learn the secret to happiness through the single-serving life and single serving friends.
Does anyone want to know how they celebrate the new year here in Stuttgart? Well, this isn't my video, but this is what you see first hand.

It is almost like a war zone. If you go downtown to the main park area called Schlossplatz, there are hundreds of people all armed with their own fireworks. Most shoot them straight up; others shoot them straight at other people. It gets kind of crazy, but it is all in fun. I like it here, and I am looking forward to my next year.
Resolutions? Just one. For once, I want to start doing things for myself, and putting myself first. I always sacrifice my time and efforts for other people with no care of myself. That is changing this year.
I put this jar together where I put slips of things that make me happy. On Dec 31st, I will go through the jar and relive my happiest moments.
I also hope to be more active on this site.
