Brian bites Harry and James gets excited he can be violent without getting in trouble because he’s defending his dad. It’s not clear how old James is, but I’m guessing around 13 based on the fires and dead animals, so his shovelwork should be effective enough to get Brian free.

@johnnydiscard Well, I'm glad to bring them back. I have lots I want to do, but I got a bit overwhelmed for a while there and my creativity stalled out. But it's coming back now and I think you'll see more of these in the near future. Interesting. You want Brian to bite Harry and James to go all out? And I was also thinking he would be 13 years old. I had it written in a previous draft and took it out to think over it more.

I wouldn’t say I *want* Brian to bite Harry, but think it’s more likely to happen than not. And yes, definitely think James should go all out with the shovel.

@fredhincanada I don't think that James is a creep, but he is very creepy and I wouldn't feel good being around him! I wonder if you had "Dexter" in mind, when you created James? Luckily there's a hot air balloon floating around to get away from James 😂😇!
@fredhincanada A character showing sociopathic tendencies and seems to have a special interest in death could work in this story. A chapter from his point of view would be interesting. Let's see what future chapters will bring (didn't read Part 2 yet)!

A few more days will go by before I have time for Part 2. But another idea comes to mind - what if James is evil to tbe bone and he has a "White Passenger" which tries to hold him back?
@fredhincanada Best thing for James could be that nobody will believe that the kid is evil. He must hear voices in his head, right? He could use this to his advantage and fool everyone (like he fooled his dad for years). There will be blood 😈!
