rawr_ima_monster:
on a scale of 1-10, how serious are you?
I'd just need to know some idea of what kind of thing you were thinking (bunnies doing something in particular?), Some kind of idea whether you wanted it to be in a particular theme (something like I posted there), some kind of idea of what colors might be troublesome, and whether or not you think you could pay 125-150 for it relatively soon.

Or, you could just be like "I trust you, make something cute and I'll pay you for it".

-I've got to figure out how I'm gonna get it up there, too, but I suppose that's why they invented the mail.

You know, of all the freckles, happy freckle is my very favorite! smile
obd:
congratulations.

now get to work. wink
rawr_ima_monster:
Yay for jobs and happy people.
I think I'm going to spend as much time as I possibly can tonight through this weekend making drawings and doing canvases, as much as I can get done.
I've been thinking about it, I was thinking to include bunny-involving things, so let me know if There's anything I should know or keep in mind, particularly if you definitely want me to do it.
I'm thinking pink background with cartoon monster bunnies...maybe zombie bunny? robot bunny? A clashing battle of cartoon bunny monsters?
-let me know, please.
Dave

rawr_ima_monster:
OK! cool.
It's highly likely that I'll end up scanning the sketch anyway, and I'll probably show it to you once I do, anyhow.
That's good, because I'm not so into the splatters either. It's something I did for the first few, and then it became the theme. If I can avoid doing it on things that people want now, I will.
I'm thinking a pink background, but varying tone, like the card paintings, and then fairly crisp characters on top of that (not the sketchy white around like the cards), like maybe three funny bunny monsters (right now I'm thinking robot, zombie, vampire) doing monster-y things, like generally making funny faces.
-Whee! Monies! Hoping I can get through this stuff this weekend with an art-binge.

yay for freckle!

hey dude.... im sending you an email!
trevallion:
My only real big concern is that since I technically work out of my home whether or not I can get some of home office deduction.
thearcanecircle:
where at?>
rawr_ima_monster:
So hey, check it.
I really like all three, the robot's my favorite but I really do like the zombie alot. I still really think the vampire is funny and cute, but I can't find a way to work with it and the other two that I like.

Because I'm obsessive, I've been playing with these in photoshop all day, I'm trying to figure out a layout that I like and makes sense. So far, meh.

Hey, how would you feel about getting three seperate paintings- ie: one, two, three ? (It'd be reasonable monetarilly, it'd just take more space)
I like them a lot more on their own than interacting.

-Actually, in the course of writing this, I decided I'm going to make them that way and you can decide which one, two, or all three of them you want.

rawr_ima_monster:
Triptych. That's how I'm doing it, but they'll be three seperate framed pieces, which will look really cool, like windows, almost (as long as they're hung straight with some space inbetween)

They're each 11x14, because that's the size canvases and frames I've been using and have around, so they'll be the same size as all the other ones in that splattery series.

I was planning to frame them with those same wooden frames (I think it'll look cool)- and I've already got the frames), but I guess I don't have to if you don't want them that way, although so far I've framed every painting in those same frames. re: shipping: They're not heavy, but they're heavier than nothing. Your call, I guess. I was going to frame em. (Like this.)
-No problem, it's fun, and I'm selling it, so it's my job to put work into it, I'd be just as obsessive anyway, so I might as well do it in the name of making sure you get what you want. tongue

rawr_ima_monster:
When they're all done, I'll take a lot of pictures with them temporarilly in the frames, and then you can let me know.
I put them into these frames in a way other than the way it is intended (which is why I keep using them, because it's a unique look), and it would be a pain in the ass for you to take it out if I put it in well.
-We'll figure it out in the end, but I won't do anything semi-permanent framewise until it's decided.
Dave
trevallion:
Well, I do have a company laptop aside from my own personal computer. I wonder if that counts.
