I had the S1 though & it was wonderful: that one is even more desirable. 12x optical zoom, & focusing as close as 1cm, higher 'ISO' & higher resolution...

Me again what I could have said about my camera is that it could do a lot of things I never even used, & the S3 has probably got more of those still. Once I got used to it I had it on manual most of the time as I felt more in control - but you only get the full range of exposure settings on the auto modes (some of them). It's fiddly If you need to manually focus though.
