hello all, goodbye all...
so my laptop has decided to crap out on me. want to know why? windows. yep. i got a corrupted windows update which in turn corrupted my whole system. now none of my input devices work. its like my computer became deaf dumb and blind. i'm only typing this because i stole my brother's lap top to do some work...but after that i'll be without a computer for the next indeterminable future.
the good news is i was still able to take my laptop while it was still limping along and get all of my files off of it. also more good news is that i dont have to pay for it to be fixed. windows is taking care of that. but its still a pain in the ass. but what this means for all of you is you might not be seeing me around here much for the next few weeks. hopefully its a quick fix and i'll get it back in a week or so.
now i've got to make sure i fill you in on the rest of my life as much as possible so the few people who read my blog each time i post a new one wont feel left out while i am computerless.
i've lost 10 lbs and a little over an inch off my gut. woo hoo! i'd like another 10 - 15 lbs by the end of the month so i've been spending an extra hour at the gym every day now. hopefully burning more than i consume will slim me up quick.
lets see...what else.
i've just gotten the fourth installment of the dark tower comic book ("the fall of gilead") as well as its one off prequel "the sorcerer" which follows one of the main villains in the story line. i'll be reading those, as well as dusting off my old PS1 and super nintendo for the coming computerless weeks. and for those of you who look down on the old systems, i simply say you clearly dont know what good video games are.
I think thats it. the jeep is running well. and everything else seems to be going about as well as i could have hoped. i'll be spending thursday hacking and marking trails in the woods. thats always fun (if i dont get poison ivy).
OH and i'll be going down to misquamicut beach (i dont know if thats spelled right...?) down in CT this coming sunday with a few friends of mine. we're going to go visit another friend of mine who worked for me a while ago. cheap drinks on the beach and good friends sounds like a most excellent day to me.

also the funniest place i've found at amusement parks is when families with multiple kids are buying lunch. ten bucks for a hot dog. five bucks for fries. one hundred dollars for a refillable souvenir sippy cup.....times five = so much hatred in the eyes
