So...yesterday was another Swope Park Rangers' game. It was fun, hot as hell, but fun. My friend Mark, who is one of the key strikers for the team and out on injury, was able to play yesterday's game, so it was a good time. We ended up winning 3-1 over the Tulsa Roughnecks. Next game will be Sunday, which is Father's day here. I am excited because my girl will be singing the national anthem. So it will be a good time all around.
My good friend Mike hanging out with Hat-Trick Harry...the SPR mascot, before game.
Quick note here. This guy above is my old friend Paul Fowler. I had been friends with him from Preschool all the way to Seniors in High School. Best friends actually. He had moved away to Amherst, Mass to finish up his Ph.D in History, and came back home for a few weeks to visit family. I was lucky enough to catch up with him and bring him out to his first ever SPR game. I think he had a good time.
Yeah...for those of you who don't know...this is my boy Mark. Great guy, great soccer player, and even represents Canada on the National Team. If you have the chance to say hi to this guy, do it. Great guy.
A wide angle of Mark's PK that brought the team up to 2-1 at the time.
So yeah...there ya go. There are some shots from yesterday's game. Funny thing is that tonight I have been recruited to play some softball...so this should be interesting. I hope I don't kill myself or embarrass myself. I will let you all know how it turns out.
