O.K. i looked up thomas the rhymer on the web. i found it on amazon.com and the author's name is Ellen Kushner. i also found out that it is based on a traditional scottish ballad which is based upon an actual historical person. also known as Lord Learmont, Thomas of Ercledoune and "True Thomas" he lived during the 13th century. also another author named Jodie Forrest has written a trilogy based on the same legend. it is all about a man seduced by the queen of elves and tricked into living in the realm of faerie with her until he tricks his way free but not before he is cursed with the inability to speak anything but the truth. a side-effect of which is the gift/curse of prophecy. and then the book gets really good!!!!
if you enjoy fantasy genre books i suggest you check it out. well i gotta go to work now so bye bye!
