But one of my most deep-seated fears has always been a house fire. As a child, I used to lay in bed when I couldn't sleep and think to myself what I would save from my room if there was a fire, and I could only carry a few things. At one point, my fear of that got so bad that I considered putting those few things into a bag and leaving it near my bed all the time, just in case...
