Hello, I thought I would post a few messages about my life in Southeast Asia, specifically Thailand. Overall, I gotta say it’s great right at this moment and for the next few months I will be living on the beautiful island of Samui in southern Thailand. This island is a popular tourist destination and right now it’s tourist season, at the high season, and there are lots of Russian and German tourists living around me.
I live in a one room studio Apartment which is clean, well equipped with an attached bathroom, with facilities—cleaning, water and electricity and so forth for about $400 a month. I can’t complain about the price back in Australia this would be $4000 a month for something similar. I am about 200 m from the ocean. About half of my mornings I walk to the ocean for breakfast at a restaurant on the beach. Also, many mornings I go for a run along the beach just to start the day with a bang.
What do I do? I teach English online. Right now I’m teaching German business people business English. The timeframe suits me. Most students start in my early afternoon which is morning in Germany so that leaves me a leisurely morning to slowly prepare for the day!
