I'm sorry that happened to you! Luckily, no one has yet tried to steal my identity or my banking information (*knocks on this weird imitation wood coaster nearby*), probably because they wouldn't get a whole lot. Congrats on looking at the "bright side," though -- frugality is a virtue, for sure. Hope it's all resolved soon.

Ouch. I've had credit card fraud, but not check fraud. That's terrible. I hope you and your bank account can get out of the cold soon.
