Fuck 'em anyway. Bastards!

About the shirts...I own two non-logarithim shirts and so now I'll have to start the rotation over again. Sorry if I caused you any trauma.

I like moose too. They're pretty damn cool.
nyssa:
I was in Maine a few times and never saw a moose - I'm jealous.

It drives me crazy when an employer wants you to make them the center of your world, but refuses to make you the center of theirs. Shouldn't commitment go both ways? I have a similar problem where I work. They say to me - attend classes, improve yourself - become a better employee - oh, and by the way - we're capping salary increases at 3% and cutting dependant benefits. Good luck with everything!

Holy crap. I almost walked out at Julie's a couple of times over schedule issues, but I didn't. Instead I freaked out at the manager and he freaked out back at me and I won because I TOLD him I couldn't work that much and he fucked up, so he got my shifts covered and I was fine.

Did they call you or did you call them to resolve the schedule thing or are you just going to let it go and find a new job elsewhere?

Fuck B&N. Get a job at Starbucks...they may be nazis but they take care of their people and have good medical. I have so wanted to walk out of jobs in the past but can never bring myself to be unemployed, homeless and poor. Guess thats the difference between some of us.

And busses are crazy. I rode one to SF every day for 7 months when I worked in the city... You develop the `fuck off glance' when those less desirables get on and look at the empty seat next to you... Glad your car is back online and running....mine should be ready tonight so I can join you in that joy as well!
loki_dog:
yeah,

there are many, many, beautiful things in alaska, but the people of public transit don't make the list.

if there is 1 thing i've always known about living here, it's that there is always a job somewhere. oh, and by somewhere, i mean in the greater anchorage area. so, buck up little camper happy trails await.
