To answer your question, gel's not gonna work unless you blow dry, which is definately a pain. If you hair's about an 1 1/2 on top, you could try a wax like the one I'm using. Try the American Greaser Supply Super 90 wt Flat Top wax, which is the stonger version of what I'm using. THAT will make your hair stick up!

even cheaper then that, Got2B makes a glue that would also do the trick. IceSpikers too if you can find them. Got2B they have at like Walmart. The American Greaser Supply will be more difficult. IceSpikers can be found at some beauty supply stores.
