also, it's very possible that guy wasn't blind, he just wanted to be able to stare at girls without them knowing he was staring. that's probably not true, though. you're supposed to stare at girls there. maybe he thought it was shameful?
or maybe he just had daredevil like senses and the room was too dark for everyone else to see you but he was able to see how amazingly beautiful you were by using his super-extra-sensory um... senses. he was probably wondering why everyone else wasn't trying to get to the stage.
