People suck on a level playing field. Pigeonholing said person because of x, y, or z is an easy way to handle inadequacy. So, that's about it.
I don't have any faith in people, male or female, to do the right thing or to be just, equitable, whatever. So, no. I'm not a feminist, nor a masculinist. I'm a fat guy on the internet at 2:30am.
