Journals don't have to be all bad things. I find that drunken revelries and random pranks work just as well.

Ah but reading was just too far away to drag a whole load of camping gear, at-least leeds in pretty close to where i live you know what i mean... journals don't have to be all bad, you can write about anything at all...
