krrn:
whenever I was able to, I'd listen to records, and I feel like they sound better than other types. Probably not the greatest sound, just something about them that's better. Raw, maybe.

suggestions for what? Glasses?
auralpleasure:
Yeah, and you end up listening to albums you never would have.
krrn:
well, firstly Lens Crafters usually has a good selection.

here's what mine look like:

I'm a big fan of the thick plastic frame. I say look for something like it perhaps. You may look more hipsterey, I know I do when I wear mine, but what the hell! smile
tangledupinblue:
Sorry bout your Uncle.

I know how that feels with country uncles who leave early. It's a sad thing. I like what you wrote about that being the kind of guy you'd like to be. That hits me home. Anyway, take care to you and yours.
tangledupinblue:
i like my blue tinted glasses, just a light tint makes the chicks on the LES dig my technology, btw. Not that they could have stayed away with clear lenses, mind you.
eleven26:
it's Maui. Kaanapali beach, to be specific smile

I'm in heaven!
unite105:
sorry bout your uncle dude, i know what you mean when you say "the type of man i'd like to be" thats spot on for most of the men in my family. and the pickup truck thing too, we hail from montana, go figure. tongue

records are the dopeshit. nad cheap. and it really is nice to listen to em with a few pops and hisses, more authentic in some way...

fuck glasses, get contacts. but if you get glasses, oakley makes a line of the most kickass glasses I have ever worn, they WILL NOT FALL OFF. its phenomenal
smuffy:
why was I unaware as to your presence on SG this morning?

frown mad frown (I'm not at all special in your world anymore.)

anyway, I'm sorry your uncle died. ♥

p.s. I have a pair of glasses you can have!

ok so...bye, you no good friend/heartbreaker.
venomkid:
Sorry to hear about your uncle. That's a great story about his funeral, though. Ya can't make stuff like that up.

As for glasses, I suggest a nice, thick-bottomed lowball.

Pour in some good scotch and just a splash of cold water. biggrin
societyspliers:
Sorry about Uncle Jon. I',ll make sure to work out "Uncle John's Band" for my next gig.

As for glasses, I can't stand the feel of plastic on my face so i use wire frames.

And I know what you mean about the process of listening to records. Plus, the size of the cover art, etc. And sound from analog recordings go in natural waves intead of the stairway type of digital, therefore affecting a subtle difference to the sound.
braveart:
my condolences about your Uncle frown
