FIREFIGHTERS
DID YOU TALK ABOUT THEIR MUSTACHES
OR THE ONE IN THE VILLAGE PEOPLE
I WOULD HAVE POINTED OUT THE SIGNIFIGANCE OF THE MUSTACHE
SHOULD ONLY WOMEN WITH MUSTACHES BE ALLOWED TO BE FIREFIGHTERS
A LOTA FIREFIGHTER IN THE STATES ARE OR OF IRISH DESCENT, ITS ONE OF THE CLICHES THAT REALLY GETS ON MY NERVES FOR VARIOUS REASONS

THERE WERE A LOT OF FOREST FIRES IN OREGON THIS SUMMER, AND I REALLY WANTED TO JOIN A FIRE CREW CUS LIKE THEY WERE BEGGING FOR PEOPLE BUT I NEVER GOT UP THE NERVE
YOU AND TOREENA COULD START SOME FIRES FOR ME NEXT JUNE SO I'LL HAVE SOMETHING TO DO ALL SUMMER SINCE MOST FIRES ARE LIKE SET BY HUMANS
timmy:
Did you talk about why they wear red suspenders?

Firefighters are a special breed. I've had many conflicts with them in the past... Mostly regarding medical protocalls and running emergency scenes. As an Oakland paramedic it was a love/hate relationship. They made more money than I did, worked less than I did... but also died more than I did, for all of us. Firefighters may be bigoted or egotistical but they are here for us. They keep us safe. We owe them our thanks.
