i still think detroit is the team to beat in the west. they'll be real tough if yzerman kicks into gear, which looks pretty likely. the east is so wide open, i think if samsonov comes back and hackett plays good that boston could be the team. the combination of thornton and murray is just ridiculous. toronto seems to be too worried about ottawa, and the islanders... i can't really see them going to the finals.

i think the maximum number of months you can get unemployment here is 8 or 9... i was working on close to 4 months, but now back to the grindstone on monday.
as far as pure talent goes, federov has to be one of the greatest ever. he can do everything and make it look easy. it's a shame on most nights it looks like he just doesn't care.
