nisi:
thanks, i get it now.

license plates, facinating. have fun.
kopper:
my friend was lucky enough to grow up in england, and be 13 or 14 years older than me, so he saw lots of quality shows back then. he was a big fan of the fall, and wire.

i'd love to see suicide.. i'm hoping that they'll tour for their new album, still not the same as seeing them years ago, but i'll take what i can get.

bah...avalanche. i was in detroit for some of the 97-98 playoff games. when the avalanche got what they deserved.
nisi:
josh patissier, non?
hee hee
edward abbey tells it like it is.
i just finished desert solitaire. i can relate, i am living in desert solitude maintenant.
kopper:
the new suicide album is called "american supreme", and its not too bad. it's kind of weird to hear all of the modern influences in their music now. there's a bit of a hip hop vibe on one track that took me by surprise.

have you ever heard the VVV album on mute? alan vega with panasonic. i thought it was extremely cool.

province = ontario
kopper:
ghost riders seemed like a pretty intense live album, and from articles i've read and things i've seen the live experience must have been pretty unusual to people when they first came on the scene. i was watching a clash dvd and strummer was talking about suicide opening for them in england. the crowd fucking hated them, and some guy threw a bottle that barely missed vega's head. so he picked up the bottle and smashed it over his own head. too funny.

i dont' know if you've heard panasonic but they're finnish, and apparently they grew up on suicide records. so mute teamed them together for an album. their music is made from specialty oscillators and shit, so it was actually a close comparison to martin rev's keyboard. and live they're deafening too.

last time i went to detroit i got hauled into INS at the border.. such a hassle.
dollface:
i used to listen to spacemen 3 and get really high or do a bunch of cocaine
aoife:
That sounds cool.
I love junkyards and old cars and thrift stores and all sorts of things that other people have loved and left.

and I love Alex Tanguay. smile Look at how good we can be! And without Joe! When he comes back we'll be unstoppable. I just pray that they don't make another STUPID trade with Tanguay....
lenore:
I do indeed have the Lenore Lunchbox. wink
lenore:
That's some funny shit!
archnemesis:
As long as idoless isn't reading this, I'll agree that Clarke isn't the best GM. As much as he frustrates the hell out of me, I just can't bring myself to hate him. He was like a hero to me as youngin'.

Now about these '63 California plates. Since you collect plates, maybe you could tell me what happened in California in 1963. I have a 58 Ford. I'm the 3rd owner, my friend was the second and that car never changed hands prior. Yet it has '63 plates. Every classic I see on the road that's older than '63 still has those plates. What's went on?
aoife:
Stop the trade madness! We're doing good with what we've got, the last thing we want to do is fuck with it!!!!!!

but if we got anything from the Kings, I want Jason Allison. He's my second-favorite ex-Bruin.
kopper:
no, never seen the whiskey videos... good stuff?
actually dollface was telling me about some suicide footage she saw, and i guess the guys were thoroughly coked up, and doing their rock'n'roll duty.
i'd love to see vega writhing on the floor though.. the idea of it kind of reminds me of throbbing gristle. their pre-TG art show "coum transmissions".
kopper:
those videos sound pretty cool, i'll have to see if i can locate one. i'm always impressed by bottles being broken over anyone's head.
