The following entry is going to be almost entirely about They Might Be Giants. I believe it is my duty to report the activities of the concert on Friday for those who did not attend. Shame on those who did not attend.

The opening act was pretty bad. But then that was over and they had these puppets in the balcony that were singing. I didn't really like that part; the puppets were kind of creepy. Then the Johns and the band came out and the first song they played was Birdhouse in Your Soul! Yay!! Next they played Cyclops Rock. They played quite a few songs that I wasn't really familiar with, as I've only heard a couple of their albums and the songs on a DVD. Linnell talked about a toothbrush he got at Walgreens with bristles twice as long as normal toothbrushes.

Flansburgh thought maybe they forgot to turn the machine off when that toothbrush came through.

Oh, they also played Dr. Worm, which is one of my all time favorites. Another one of my favorites was Anna Ng. They played Particle Man, Another First Kiss, Working Undercover for the Man, S-E-X-X-Y, Why Does the Sun Shine, and Minimum Wage. Then some woman came out and sang the song Evil from the Austin Powers movie.

Then Flansburgh turned on a radio on stage and he just randomly turned the dial and they all played along to whatever was on.

Linnell had this machine that made really cool sounds and it was called The Future of Sound.

Toward the end they played Fingertips, which is apparently the first 10 seconds of like 16 different songs or something. I did not know this until after the show.

During some song, I can't remember which, Flansburgh instructed the audience to do a wave. This wave would start at the front of the audience, to the back and then up to the balcony, where it would linger and make it's way back up to the front and at that time, the power of our wave would make Linnell's head explode. And oh, how it exploded!

They played two songs at both encores. They played more songs than I have recounted here, but I'm having trouble remembering them because it was, like 2 whole days ago and I didn't know some of the songs to begin with.

Then the next day, we went to a guitar shop and we saw the guitarist and bassist there! Cool. We did not talk to them.
