It's been a while since I've updated, yeah? I haven't been spending a lot of time online lately. I have been playing a bit of Wii though.

I'm currently in Illinois visiting my family. It's really nice being here in the summer for the first time in (I think) 7 years. All the flowers are blooming and everything is so green and the doors and windows are open. It's so different from my usual Christmas visit, which is usually the only time I get to see my parents (who I really miss). I've been playing lots of games with my mom, and I even managed to beat her at Scrabble once.

Tonight we watched the space station and the shuttle Atlantis pass overhead from the backyard which was so awesome. They were incredibly bright.

Yesterday I got attacked by three 17 year cicadas at a park. Two landed on my collar and one flew into my ear, which I was NOT ok with. I don't do well with bugs, especially enormous ones. I didn't notice the ones on my shirt so twice my mom had to say "Elenor, I hate to say this..." which was my cue to panic. She had to brush them off my collar while I died a little. I don't know what I'd have done if one had crawled into my hair.

Time for me to go to sleep, I suppose. It's weird without all the traffic noise and sirens.
