The house is beginning to feel like home. I feel a little grown up with all of this space and a lawn to mow and a showerhead to argue with...
also, the idea of painting for some reason makes me a bit giddy, until I actually consider cost and the labor of it.
So, I suppose upstairs will have to stay yellow and sea foam green.
I organized my closet today and I have to tell you- it's nice to have all the space and shelves and dressers and nonsense. I haven't been this organized since I had that sweet closet organizer in Grand Blanc!
Aside from that, my baby sister's grad party was Sunday, and that was a lot of fun. Then she called me on Monday night to tell me she crashed her car... and dad is in california. She's fine, but her car is not, and apparently the person she hit decided he wants my sister to pay to fix his teeny tiny little dent in his 1998 Jeep Grand Cherokee. It's not even the size of a fist. The whole thing is a little bit silly considering that the guy took off after she hit him, told her not to call the cops and left her sitting in the middle of the road with a totalled car somehow thinking that no one would call the cops about an 18 year old girl sitting in the middle of the road with a totalled car... He came back through the intersection when she was talking to the police and YELLED at her for calling the cops and now all of the sudden wants his car fixed... interesting, to say the least.
I was woken up 4 times this morning by various phone calls- the first being from my middle sister, who, in a brilliant moment locked herself out of her apartment and then called me to see if I could come get her in; then, staffing at work calling me to tell me to come in for testing; then, my other sister asking me to pick her up and drive her somewhere; then, a friend of mine. I finally got out of bed at 10 am on my day off...
In other exciting news, its a beautiful day...
I still have an extra kitchen table if anyone is interested...
