How far would you go for love? I’m not talking about fleeting passionate love. I mean the kind of love that forms over years and years of respect, appreciation, compassion, humility and trust. It’s the only true type of love that exists. When you can sit with someone and be at absolute peace with not a single word exchanged or know that no matter what happens they’ll never leave your side, you know your there. You’ll always feel like a better version of yourself when your with them. I promise you this, every other kind of love will fade into the background. It’s fun for a while and fills the hole but it will never truly satisfy.
The problem these days is everyone wants something to come easy. We want to believe that fleeting feeling is love because it is easy to obtain and feels good, we fight to hold on to it as it burns always like fuel to the flame.
The real thing is much more rare and much harder to kill once it exsists. Love at first sight is a fairytale that ties into our biological and social imperatives.
