As far as organic grocerty stores go, well, I'm not sure if this is "close by" for you or not, but The Heritage Store near the intersection of Laskin Rd. and Pacific Ave. is friggin' awesome. There's another one in Hilltop (West, I think) that's pretty awesome, too. They're on the pricey side, but hey, most organic or Vegan stuff seems to be that way.
