Trent Reznor! *swoon!!* I'm still super thrilled that you got to go see them! You had a wonderful opportunity from Raymond_K_Hessel and thank goodness for your lightning speed texting! I need a phone like that too. Glad your evening was fantastic and that you enjoyed yourself biggrin kiss
ricos:
Sweet deal! Glad you had a good time smile
ricos:
Yeah I have seen Janes Addiction (I love them too) and NIN at the first Lollapalooza in '91 and I also saw Porno for Pyros live. Perry Farrell puts on a hell of a show. smile
raymond_k_hessel:
Awesome blog...I think I am going to hijack it for mine and just put up a link instead of writing my own.

I'm happy you had fun, and in retrospect am VERY happy it turned out the way it did. So much better that you had this experience than someone who would have been lukewarm to the whole thing.

And thanks for taking all the pictures....those seats are good for pics, but I never bring my camera to any of the shows.

Oh, and we can consider that a birthday gift if you like....that'll work out well since I don't think I can bring anything for the potluck BBQ if I am going to be on my bike

It's always fun hanging out with you. See you guys in a couple weeks.
watchtheskies:
You lucky pup. I saw Porno for Pyros, but never Jane's.

Dammit!!!
lightandshade:
Yeah, Jane's was so awesome here that my friend and I decided to go to Pitt for the NIN|JA show out there next Wednesday. We got to hear some extra songs, I swear, cause of it being a solo Jane's show... but I could be mistaken. But I think we did... dammit. IDK. I had such a fucking excellent time. The clip from "The River Wild" to open up their set, with "Three Days" opening it up, WOAH. goodgoddamn. I'm so glad I decided to pass on any of the fake Jane's lineups, and keep it real. Sure I had to wait another 18 years to see them again, but it was worth it, oh so worth it, to see Eric Avery up there again. He appeared to be having a good old time, too...
raymond_k_hessel:
You know I keep hearing that the movie clips they showed were cool....damn us for being too close to the stage to see the screen.
theaceface:
You coming to my party then on Saturday? Magic Bag?
deathkitten:
Too cool!!! You lucky girl!!!
tireoghain:
Jesus christ Robin Fink got fat between now and February! I'm a bit jealous the Northern Hemisphere gets NIN with Jane's Addiction. Still, I can't complain, seen both enough times to be well acquainted with the experience. How good was The Downward Spiral??? :p
kikibabe:
Is the weather ugly in Detroit, too?

I need some Dryad to make me smile!
theaceface:
OK. Well the invitation is out there. Hope to see you!
kikibabe:
Mostly caught up. I woke up at the normal time this morning, but still went to bed about 8:30 last night. I'm getting closer to normal, I guess.
rayraythemanape:
Yeah I always use the Highest SPF's I can find. I just didn't use it that day. frown

Oh my gosh - I know!!! When it's 5:00 I book out of here. I don't want to have to work one second past five.

I want to work to live, not live to work. Sometimes I think I should just downgrade my lifestyle and get a job with less responsibility. I'm not dumb, but I guess I'm just lazy? I don't know. It's probably not laziness, but lack of a connection to my job and total lack of motivation. It's weird when most everyone else I work with doesn't mind working late every night, or checks their work email from home at night and on weekends. I want to shake them and scream, "WHY???"

I try to sharply divide my personal and professional life, but it seems the trend is moving toward integrating them, which is something I refuse to do. When I'm not at work, I'm not going to check my email, nor can you call me on my cell. Just...no!

I am horrible at making friends and had to run out when I was told my buddies car was being towed. So no I did not
sadista:
Congrats on making the show! I saw NIN in 2006, what an amazing show. (They went on at night and had this incredible light show...Bauhaus opened, and let me tell you, Bauhaus during the daytime is all kinds of scary. tongue )
Jane's Addiction...I don't think I'd want to see them. I think that's one band I prefer to remember as they were back in the day. I love their music though.
bratpanties:
I have heels too, but I couldn't get them in the photo. tongue I'll have to take another pic later.
presence:
sounds like a great show. i love the ole Knob.

Im curious to hear what Morello's new band sounds like.
presence:
sounds hot. those are some great pics. Nails is sooo good live. Last time i caught them was at the Palace last year i believe? I just remember it was a really rainy good night for a concert.
wsoxfan:
The pics came out well. I used to be so into music almost fanatically.. I hardly listen to it anymore. Maybe that's because of how I've been feeling in recent months.

So many people have been singing the praises to me about The Deftones. I heard them on a video that someone posted on SG. They sounded pretty good to me. What do you think?
carmelita:
Hay babygirl! I've been away for a while, in the middle of a move...and I've missed you! How have ya been, what's new in your life? Tell me something good! smile I love ya, doll!

xoxoxoxo!
lxaviarq:
kiss back to you too! Thanks for reading the really....really long blog...
tuesdae:
Thanks lady! I hope to take some pictures with them sometime haha. I love the color! It's a lot more peach in real life than they photographed in the bad lighting in my apartment.
kikibabe:
Question: how do you make the little heart icons? It must be an ancient Chinese secret, but I want to know. Tell me! tongue
