pawko4b:
it's ok I'm doing laundry for ya. Unless you want me running around nekked. The things I do for my friends.
jstduckie:
paycheck to paycheck.....i feel your pain
i did not get holiday pay either....
now im working 9 hrs a day...straight time...this week
and i wonder why im back in school whatever
brotherheathen:
They also opted not to have working cameras in the store where a friend of mine worked. So the guys who came in and shot her dead for the cash never got photographed to be identified. Not really fond of your employer.
jstduckie:
trying to get into the radiography program.....MUCH better money....and great benefits
noctua:
Yeah, the feds are looking for any excuse to toss folks out these days. My lawyer said these audits are because of "the economy".

Well sorry that following the rules is inconvenient with the fact that US citizens are unemployed, but what good are rules when they're conveniently ignored?

It's no wonder people just sneak into the country and wait for an amnesty. Frankly, it's easier. Not to mention cheaper!
ericwine:
Only one person per store? That's ridiculous. And it's ridiculous that you can't count on a day off. *hug*
cyberiouse:
Yeah i know how you feel with a job where you do nothing. I sit online chatting with you online all day :-P but sometimes i wanna just do something or hell just chill at home lol
Sorry i missed your set going up. i got a beautiful new laptop so i can keep up with you and everyone now ;-)
kikibabe:
Just got home and have been awake for 21 hours...I am planning on chugging a Mt. Dew, taking a shower, and heading out to the SG Chicago event. Gotta keep the momentum going or I will collapse.

Awesome set, btw! kiss
kikibabe:
Okay, number one: if you look back at past sets of SG's, you will usually notice that they get better over time. I'm sure it's like my burlesque experience - way harder than it looks.

Number two: at least you had the courage to do it! And you looked great!

I'm proud of you, doll.
pawko4b:
Me too. It'd be awesome. Yes I saw Durb he's rather tall if I say so myself. Ah yay for free wireless.
pawko4b:
So how was your day?
tweedle:
thanks for the comment on my set sweetie, you know how much I appreciate it kiss

sorry about work frown where do you work ??
tweedle:
oooh! yeah we've got one down the road from my work...and it got robbed last year. o_O

wsoxfan:
Living paycheck to paycheck is all too common these days. By coming to work on your day off shows that your priorities are in the right place. That shows maturity.

Do you have a job lined up after you move to NC? My daughter says that Asheville is about a 3 hour drive from where she is. That would make it tough to meet whenever I manage to visit my daughter. On the other hand, where there's a will there's a way.
kikibabe:
I hope you get to travel someday. It has given me some of the best experiences of my life. And it's really not as expensive as people think it is. I do it really cheaply by looking for bargain-basement airfares, staying in youth hostels, and eating super cheap stuff.

And again...thanks for being a friend today. kiss

I am trying to work up the stamina to brave the grocery store. I have almost no food right now. I'm feeling slightly better now, but what I need more than anything in the world is a really good night's sleep.
dear_:
That is fail.
You should get holiday pay. D:

Your stuff on etsy is AMAZING, by the way.
I wish I had monies. :<
kikibabe:
I went to bed last night at 6:30. I was seriously feeling way fucked up: shaky, cold, a bit delirious. I slept for 12 hours and woke up this morning feeling GREAT!!!!!! Woo hoo!!

I forgot about your Argentina trip. I haven't done much down that way. I went to Costa Rica last summer and that's the extent of my south-of-the-border travels.
wsoxfan:
Waitressing is hard work, but the money is good, especially in that kind of environment. It was nice of your sister-in-law to recommend you to her boss.

Best of luck with the move, the new job and everything else.
deathkitten:
I know how you feel. This paycheck to paycheck bullshit is getting so old!!!!
Last week I had a really bad panic attack because I wasn't sure how I was going to make all the bills.... We'll make it somehow, right ? wink
Hope things get better for you kiss
deathkitten:
I know, I feel the same way.... I guess employers nowadays feel that having the luxury of a job is reward enough... not so.... My company will not be giving out bonuses or merit increases this year and tentatively next year, depending on how the economy goes.... Meanwhile, gas is going up, utilities are going up, etc... I am still hopeful that things will get better smile
deathkitten:
I don't "have" to bake it, but I probably will... We'll see how pooped I am wink

Any fun plans for your b-day?
deathkitten:
that sounds like so much fun!!!!!! I wish I lived closer frown Take lots of pics.

Nothing much. I was going to have a party, but since Mildot's sister is getting married on the 13th, I decided against it. Probably a low key day. which is probably what I really need smile
churtch:
Thank you for the set love, it really means a lot
panda_love:
I know, I'm super thrilled! I never thought that I would get to see them a second time and as soon as we found out about the tickets we hopped on it. We couldn't really afford them either, so we managed to get enough and consider it a late 1 year anniversary gift for each other. biggrin

Hope your show is/was a spectacular time!
kikibabe:
How was NIN and Jane?

I have been awake since 4 a.m. Stupid jet lag!!!! This is going to make going back to work today even more fun.
