I mean, its hard when your looking for a long term monogamous relationship (if you arent already in one) to find someone who's supportive because a lot of guys/girls are possessive or jeaous, or assume your easy/cheap/trashy/immoral, when they first find out, and Im a christian and although I dont need to date someone with the same faith, I still look for someone with strong morals, and people with strong conservative morals dont always look kindly on SG, so it aint always easy on that front.
As far as family goes, mine has been really supportive, but It really depends on how open minded your family is.
I tend to not tell people when I meet them that Im a suicide girl for a number of reasons, like above, some people think its either sleazy, or the opposite and they think its amazing, either way it detracts from making any deep friendships based on who you actually are beyond your naked internet infamy.
It really only affects your career if your doing something particularly cooperate, with children, or where your reputation is really important. I initially didn't worry about it much because Im an artist, but more and more Im edging towards very commercial cooperate work, and would like to work for a big company when I graduate, SG could potentially either hold me back, by preventing me from being hired, or prevent me from ever rising in the ranks for lack of respect or out of fear of it somehow reflecting poorly on the company image.
If you have a good friend base, a supportive significant other and family, and a secure creative open minded job, there isnt anything to worry about.
You seem really cool by the way from what little profile you have, I dig your interests, gaming, anime, yaoi (a total secret pleasure), and comics.
