It's called love. When you fall in love, you open up completely, and that leaves you very vulnerable. It's when that love is broken that ANY ONE loses their security. When you love someone, you become dependent on them to be there and love you back, you also rely on their company and affection to keep you happy.. it's only human. There is nothing wrong with that.
It does matter, there are different emotions people go through when they have had their other half ripped from them. Some people choose feel immense pain and use it to drive them creatively. I guess your way is anger and denial.
