my roomie has moved out and is now living with her bf. im gonna miss her. she was great. easy to talk to, clean, and always paid the rent on time.
im fortunate enough to live in a great neighborhood and i have a two bedroom apt. my rent is really reasonable for where i live too. so when i rent out the second bedroom i dont gouge people and i charge less then the doorms at nyu. the way i rent the room out is, i put an ad on craigs list and then i have an open house.
i usally recieve about 30 emails a day when i have the ad running. which tells me that im giving the room away, but thats fine. id rather have my pick of a wider amout of people then get some slob thats gonna pay a couple bucks more for rent.
so i picked this woman. im guessing she's around my age. the reason why i picked her was because she's got a cat. i figured that when im at burning man she'll be willing to take care of my cats while im there.
well she moves in tuesday.

So... Burning man, huh? I've always wanted to go. I don't really know how to go about doing that, seems people have troupes or something... are you in a troupe?
i'm losing my awesome roommate soon and i'm pissed about it. he was a refreshing change to a long list of sheisty roommates.
somehow roommate shopping online sounds like a bad idea to me. maybe because i live in a small town and i probably already know all the people that would be interested...
