Most jobs that require you to touch the freight have a desirable pay package. I was talking to someone from some food distributor. He had a 4 x 14 hour work week and said that pretty much everyone makes over $60g. He wasn't home every night, but they put you in a hotel since you're driving a day cab. I'm just not sure if I want all the pain in the ass that I imagine must come along with that kind of work. Who knows.
I missed my window of opportunity to apply to the Wal-Mart DC in Raymond, NH because I procrastinated. Perhaps they'll be hiring again at some future point.
Nothing good has ever happened to me in New Jersey. I feel your pain. And PERHAPS it is just perception, but I also frequently feel like shit happens whenever I'm trying to get home. That's a frequent time for flat tires, traffic delays, or other types of aggravation.
It's like Goethe (if you're familiar with how to pronounces Goethe's name). Sort of like a cross between Ret-kee and Ret-keh. But don't feel bad if you're still confused. The teacher who introduced me to Reothke still doesn't pronounce it correctly.
Delivering to your back yard today. I guess there's a USPS annex at 100 Brookdale Rd.
Hopefully headed home once I'm empty there. I'll be a bit grumpy if they send me a re-load to deliver on Thursday. If so, Ill surely protest the loss of the holiday.
